HIKING UP THE DUNE (GBC GAME)

Hiking up the Dune is an immersive art project that captures my experience during a transformative student exchange at the Nida Art Colony in Lithuania. Set against the backdrop of the Parnidis Dune—a magnificent, shifting landscape that once engulfed part of Nida—this game for the original Game Boy and Game Boy Color invites players to embark on a hike up the dune. Utilizing images taken with a Game Boy Camera, the game seeks not to entertain in a conventional sense but to distill the essence of my journey, reflecting the myriad thoughts and fleeting moments that accompanied me along the way. Through this interactive medium, I aim to convey the profound sense of connection and introspection that can arise from a simple hike, inviting players to share in this uniquely personal experience.
